Book Review: The Laughing Ghosts By Nidhi Sahore

The story revolves around the past experiences of Meenu which shows the Struggles women's face in the society.

Meenu goes to her grandmother's home for vacation,

but nothing is same anymore in her grand mother's village.

As a child ast first she couldn't understand the reason but one by one, it becomes clear to her. In the past one year

the village has witnesses so many stuggles and deaths of female friends and relatives

She comes to know the harsh reality of being a women in the society. The story goes around topics

such as Abortion of female child ( Sex detection of unborn child and how it affects the mother )

How conservative our society is and how the society treats a girl's decision and thoughts

Stereotypes that we bluntly believe

Although our society has developed very much in the past years, still the struggle continues....

By the name and cover, the first impression I thought was it is a ghost story ,

but now I understood It is much more than that ,

The story defines ghost as the guilt , that came because of the mistakes that we make and it's hell TRUE

Although it is slow paced, It is absolutely Effective read. Except the fact the the story has too many secondary characters, I love the plot and theme very much

I personally thank @nidhisahore for bringing up the topic and @bluerose_publishers for publishing this wonderful story

Although it discusses many heavy topics, it is fun to read too .

The story has many fun aspects of children , have you ever thought there are people living

inside a tv, but when we talk to them, they dont respond?

#qotd What is your funny childhood belief?

I used to think that the people acting in movies dont stand on

ground when they act and I wondered how can they act like standing ......

Like if acting everything should be acting na? like standing , touching
